I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
